Carmel Public Library Foundation Friends of Harrison Memorial Library Volunteers

Support Harrison Memorial Library

Harrison Memorial Library is the heart and soul of Carmel. Though the Library is a department of the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea, we receive only a portion of our funding from the City. All of our books, equipment, special programs and events - basically, everything that makes our Library the warm and inviting place that Carmelites treasure - is provided by the generous donations of community members.

How Can You Help?

There are a number of ways to support Harrison Memorial Library:
  • Donate to the Carmel Public Library Foundation.
Through the gifts, donations and bequests of its members, CPLF provides the majority of funds for all of the books, materials, programs and services of the Library.

  • Become a member of the Friends of the Harrison Memorial Library.
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit volunteer organization established in 1972 to provide support for library activities and help purchase needed books and equipment. Their major fundraiser is an annual book sale held every August.

  • Become a Library Volunteer.
Our wonderful volunteers help to keep the Library running smoothly and efficiently.
