The Friends of the Harrison Memorial Library
Sunday Afternoon Literary Tea and Program:
Patrice Vecchione, author of Step Into Nature
Mar 8, 2 pm
Garden Room, Church of the Wayfarer,
Lincoln & 7th, Carmel
Local poet, artist, teacher, and author Patrice Vecchione received unexpected inspiration when,
unable to ride her beloved bicycle, she took to walking, not along our stunning coast but on the tree-lined
trails of Jacks Peak Park. Inspiration came from wind whispering to the trees, hidden animals scurrying
through the brush, flicker feathers found on the path that deepened her imagination and restored her spirit,
and then it led to the writing of her new book Step into Nature: Nurturing Imagination & Spirit in Everyday Life
from Beyond Words/Atria, Simon & Schuster. Join us for a lively discussion with Patrice who’ll talk about the
writing of her book, everyday inspiration, and the gifts that come from walking among trees.
