What's New for Kids?

Baby and Toddler Storytime
Wednesday Sept. 6, at 10am
Park Branch Library, corner of Sixth and Mission

Miss GraceBabies and toddlers are welcome to storytime every Wednesday morning from Sept 6 until the end of May. Hear stories, sing songs, do activities and enjoy fingerplays. Afterwards we gather at the craft tables and socialize with Miss Grace. This storytime is for babies and toddlers, but older siblings are welcome too.





Drawing with Dante
Friday Sept. 22, from 3:15-4:30

Drawing with DanteCome and explore just how much you can get into your black and white drawing using graphite pencils on paper. Expand your abilities in using shade, tone, and contrast to make more expressive and masterful art. All materials are supplied by the library. This program is for ages 9-14. Please pre-register by calling us at 624-4664.


Musical Storytime with Marylee

Join Marylee for a fun musical storytime. This program is for babies and toddlers, but older siblings are welcome too.


Steam Saturday with Miss Myah
Saturday Sept. 30, from 1:30-2:30

Steam Miss Myah, the science teacher at River School, will be here leading fun science experiments. For this Steam class you will have fun with balloons and science. This program is for ages 5-9, and all materials are supplied by the library.

After School is Cool

Halloween pillowJoin Miss Pat for a fun after school craft. You will be making your very own Halloween themed pillow! This program is for ages 5-9, and all materials are supplied by the library.

 

 

Steam Thursday with Miss Myah

SteamJoin us for some fun scientific experiments with Miss Myah. Make a Critter Capsule and a Zippy Catapult. This program is for ages 9 through 14, and all materials are supplied by the library.

Star Wars Reads Day
Saturday Oct. 21, from 2 to 3:30pm

Star WarsMiss Michaela will kick off this event with a reading from "Star Wars: A Galactic Pop-Up Adventure" followed by activity stations. Dress in your favorite Star Wars costume. We will also have some Star Wars themed loot to give away. Snacks will be served, and 3 special galactic guests have been invited. May the force be with you. This program will be fun for all ages.

All you need is your library card to use the online tutoring service HelpNow. To get started, click on HelpNow and receive one-on-one help from an expert tutor (available from 1 to 10 pm).
